Happily at Work (HappyWork)

Supporting mental well-being in everyday work.

Work-related strain is increasing, yet there are still too few practical solutions that fit everyday work. The Happily at Work project develops concrete ways for workplaces to support mental well-being and work ability so that they become a natural part of daily work and leadership.

The project works in close collaboration with workplaces. The focus is on everyday realities: how to manage workload, support recovery and improve how the work community functions.

At the core of the development are five key themes. First, increasing understanding of mental well-being and the factors that influence it. Second, building everyday practices that support coping and smooth work. Third, strengthening leadership so that workload can be identified early and addressed in a constructive way. Fourth, supporting the well-being of supervisors themselves. Fifth, reinforcing preventive approaches so that challenges can be addressed before they escalate.

The project produces practical tools and ways of working that remain in use even after the project ends.

The project is intended for workplaces that want to improve the flow of work, leadership practices and the functioning of their work community in a practical way.
