The Active Campus 2.0 project aims to increase physical activity and movement throughout the higher education community during the academic and workday, develop the structure and interactivity of breaks in both in-person and online teaching, and strengthen a sense of community through physical activity. The project develops and embeds a culture of active and restorative breaks into the daily life of the university. Based on research, movement during breaks supports alertness, concentration, and engagement in learning. The project also takes into account the needs of international students and focuses on strengthening integration through physical activity. The activities will be systematically established through multidisciplinary collaboration, and communication about the activities will be active, multi-channel, and multilingual.
