Welcome to the International Facilitator’s office! I’m Marion, and I work at the International Office on the main floor of the Pori campus, right by the lobby. This fall, my goal is to meet as many students and employers as possible − helping students find interesting job opportunities and giving employers a chance to discover the potential of international talent. How I Support You, the Student
My main goal is to help you transition into the Finnish job market in the Satakunta region. I do this in a few ways:
- In-person support: You can always find me at the International Office for advice and resources.
- Personalized help with applications: If you want to refine your CV or tailor a cover letter to meet Finnish recruitment standards, I can give you personalized feedback.
- The International Facilitator Moodle page: I'm constantly updating this page with information on Finnish work culture, recruitment practices, and local employers. You can even use the feedback section to request specific workshops, like a CV-building session.
This fall, I will also work on arranging opportunities for you to meet local employers face-to-face. These meetings are designed to help you showcase your motivation and expertise, giving an opportunity to employers to see firsthand the potential they might otherwise overlook.
How I Support You, the Employer
My mission is to help you, local employers, see the strengths and potential our international students offer. I share insights on LinkedIn to highlight the value international students bring to the workforce, feel free to check my profile. I also inform myself about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to provide practical guidance on hiring international talent if so you need.
I am currently reaching out to local companies directly to arrange meetings with students. Interested? Get in touch. I also collaborate with key regional stakeholders, like the City of Pori, the City of Rauma, and the Chamber of Commerce, to develop targeted strategies that better engage local companies.

My work is part of a larger project led by Anne Kuparinen, Project Manager of the Integration of International Students to Work Life project, which continues through December 2025.
